How we use AI, in plain English
Sam is an AI voice agent, and it tells callers so: it says it's a virtual assistant at the start of the call. It takes the caller's details, gives basic safety guidance on gas-smell type calls and flags urgent ones. People at your business call back, quote and do the work. People at ours build, test and adjust Sam.
What your callers are told
Callers are told they're speaking with a virtual assistant, right at the start. Sam doesn't claim to be a person. If your calls are recorded, the greeting should say so. Recording and consent rules vary by state, so we set the exact greeting with you at kickoff. This page isn't legal advice; if you have a specific question, ask your attorney.
What the AI does
- Answers forwarded calls and asks one question at a time.
- Writes down the caller's name, callback number, service address, issue and urgency.
- Gives basic safety guidance on gas-smell type calls and flags urgent calls.
- Takes a message when it doesn't know something. It's built not to make up prices, hours or service areas.
What the AI doesn't do
- Quote prices or promise anything on your behalf.
- Dispatch anyone.
- Make decisions for your business.
What people do
- We build, test and adjust Sam. You approve it before it goes live.
- Your team calls customers back, confirms times, quotes and does the work.
- On our side, AI may draft; people send, buy, post and sign.
Call details
Calls are handled by our voice platform provider, which processes the call audio and transcript. We tell you in writing at kickoff where call details are kept and for how long, and you can ask us to delete them. We don't sell call data, and we don't use your callers' details for anything except running your front desk.
