Sam, a managed AI front desk for businesses that live on the phone

An AI front desk answers your business line when you can't. Sam is ours, and we run it for you. Calls you don't pick up forward to Sam, which says it's a virtual assistant, takes the caller's name, callback number, service address, issue and urgency, flags urgent calls and takes a message for your team. $297 setup, $497 a month.

What Sam does on a call

  1. Your line forwards to Sam

Calls you don't pick up, or calls after hours, forward to Sam through call forwarding. Your number doesn't change.

  2. Sam says it's a virtual assistant

Right at the start. Callers know they're talking to an AI, and they can still get what they called for.

  3. Sam asks one question at a time

Name, callback number, service address, what's wrong and how urgent it is. Short questions, no phone tree.

  4. Urgent calls get flagged

On a gas smell or a similar hazard, Sam gives basic safety guidance first. Anything that matches your urgent list is flagged for your team.

  5. Your team calls back

Your team has the details written down and confirms the time. Sam doesn't book, quote or promise anything for you.

How Sam handles safety calls

Sam is not an emergency service, and it doesn't dispatch anyone. What it does is put safety first on the calls that need it. When a caller reports a gas smell or a similar hazard, Sam tells them to get to safety and call 911 or the utility, then flags the call urgent for your team.

Every trade has its own version of urgent: no heat with a baby at home, water through a ceiling, a car trapped behind a garage door. At kickoff you tell us what counts as urgent for your business. Sam asks about urgency on each call and flags the ones that match, so your team knows which callback comes first.

Sam tells callers it's AI

Sam says it's a virtual assistant at the start of the call. We don't build front desks that pretend to be people. Read how we use AI for what the AI does, what people do, and how call details are handled.

Built for your trade

Sam is for trade and home-service businesses that live on the phone: HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, landscaping, pest control, garage doors, cleaning, and more. Each trade gets questions that fit its calls and its own list of what counts as urgent.

Who it fits, and who it doesn't

Good fit: owner-run shops where the owner or a tech answers the phone between jobs, and calls go to voicemail when everyone is busy or after hours.

Not a fit: businesses that get only a handful of calls a week. Run the missed-call calculator first. If the numbers don't work, we'll tell you.

What it costs

$297 one-time setup, then $497 a month, month to month, with up to 300 connected call minutes a month. No long-term contract, no overage billed without your written approval. See pricing for the full terms, or how setup works.

Common questions

Which businesses is Sam for?
Sam is for trade and home-service businesses that live on the phone: HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, landscaping, pest control, garage doors, cleaning, and more. If your phone rings while you're on a job, it's built for you. See it by trade.
What does Sam do on an emergency call?
On a gas smell or a similar hazard, Sam tells the caller to get to safety and call 911 or the utility, then flags the call urgent. For other urgent calls, like no heat with a baby at home, it takes the details and flags the call for your team. Sam does not dispatch anyone.
Who sets the appointment time?
Your team does. Sam takes the caller's details and the time they'd like, flags the urgent ones, and your team calls back to confirm. You stay in control of your schedule and who goes out.
What happens if Sam doesn't know the answer?
It takes a message. Sam is built not to make up prices, hours or service areas, so anything it can't answer from what you gave us at kickoff becomes a message for your callback.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. We use call forwarding on your existing business line, so your number never changes. You also keep ownership of your domain and your data.
